2024 Laurel Festival Queen Coronation Highlights

by Sara Vogt - June 18, 2024

On Saturday evening, beginning at 6:30 p.m., the Wellsboro High School Auditorium was filled with thirty beautiful queen candidates competing for the title of Laurel Festival Queen for 2024. Many family and friends supported the candidates and were in attendance to cheer them on!

Steering the evening with his charismatic presence, Ken VanSant served as the master of ceremonies. His skillful pacing kept the energy high and the event flowing smoothly for all the contestants, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone in the audience.

During the evening, the contestants were given a random question to answer so the judges could assess their communication skills. After this section of the evening, the judges took time to step aside to decide who would be the 2024 Laurel Festival Queen, the first and second runner-ups, and Miss Congeniality.

Mrs. Tara Gordon announced the Miss Congeniality winner, Miss Upper Perkiomen, Alexa Sefing.

The 2024 Laurel Festival Queen was announced: Miss Manheim Liliana Kilgore. This fall, she will continue her education by finishing her associate degree at Harrisburg Area Community College in Communications. Then, in 2025, she will transfer to West Chester University to get a bachelor’s in communications and a minor in digital marketing.

Alexa Sefing was also named 1st runner-up and Miss Congeniality. In the fall, she plans to attend the University of Pitt Honors College, majoring in business and minoring in Spanish and sustainability.

Miss Wellsboro Isobel Anderegg was named second runner-up. In the fall, she will attend Alfred University and major in Psychology.

We want to congratulate these three young women and pray that their paths will be filled with grace, strength, and love.
