Wellsboro Chamber
Wellsboro sweeps CV, Urena hits 500 digs
On Thursday, October 10th the Wellsboro Lady Hornets volleyball team hosted the Cowanesque Valley Lady Indians.
Wellsboro cinched the first set to take the early lead, 25-19. At the end of the set, the Lady Hornets recognized teammate Lexi Urena on her outstanding accomplishment of making 500 digs in her athletic career.
In the second set, the Lady Indians and Lady Hornets were neck and neck, each retaking the lead until Wellsboro finally broke loose and came out on top, 25-17.
From there the floodgates were opened and Wellsboro dominated the third and final set, 25-13…taking the night 3-0.
The Lady Hornets will be back on the court on the 15th as they travel to the face the Williamson Lady Warriors.
