by Wyatt Wood - October 9, 2024

On Tuesday, October 8th the Wellsboro boys soccer team shutout the North East Bradford Panthers.

With 37:04 left in the first half, Wellsboro got on the board first as Jude Cuneo steals the ball in mid and sets it perfect for Macaiah Fitch to finish.

10 minutes later, Fitch collects, dishes it past the defense, and David Seeling is there and plays it just past the keeper’s reach. GOAL, Wellsboro!

With twelve and a half minutes left before halftime, Lucas Cuneo receives the ball in mid, breaks down the defense and hits the side net. Wellsboro up, 3-0.

Next, with only 5 seconds left in the half, Wellsboro keeps the pressure on as Mason Brill – big ball opposite side to Noah Zengerle, cuts in, plays it near post, GOAL! Wellsboro ends the half with four uncontested scores.

Wellsboro continued to dominate the game, putting up 5 more unanswered goals in the second half to secure the shutout victory, 9-0.

Wellsboro will be back on the field on Thursday for senior night against Williamson.
